CIMB’s Dato’ Abdul Rahman Ahmad to step down as group CEO
CIMB has not named a successor yet.
CIMB’s Group CEO, Dato’ Abdul Rahman Ahmad, will step down from his role on 30 June. He has been CEO of CIMB since 2020.
The group has not named a new group CEO, although CIMB assured that they will announce in due course and once regulatory approval is received.
Datuk Mohd Nasir Ahmad, who was originally due to retire in July 2024 after nine years as board director, will remain as group chairman for a while longer to help facilitate the transition.
He has also been re-designated as non-independent non-executive director in line with good corporate governance, effective 20 July.
