OCBC launches MyOwn bank account for children and teenagers
It will enable them to monitor their account and make PayNow transactions.
OCBC has introduced the MyOwn bank account for teenagers and older children aged between seven and 15, accessible via its app.
This account allows them to monitor their bank balance, use a debit card, and make PayNow transactions.
Parents are the only ones who can open the account for their children and set daily transaction limits. They can also monitor its activities in real-time via a separate dashboard.
To engage younger customers, OCBC offers Disney or Marvel designs through its collaboration with Disney debit cards. Financial literacy content is also available in the form of comics.
Additionally, new-to-bank OCBC 360 Account customers who open a MyOwn Account for their child will receive a one-year Disney+ Premium subscription.
