China Bank opens first of 40 new branches
China Bank opened its Cebu-Mandaue Cabancalan Branch, its 248th nationwide and 15th in Cebu.
It is the first of the planned 40 new branches this year.
"Making China Bank even more accessible continues to be a top priority for us this year," said Samuel S. Chiong, China Bank senior vice president and branch banking deputy group head. China Bank is looking at opening 30 branches for the main bank and 10 branches for ChinaBank Savings this year.
"We are opening branches not just in key cities but in developing communities as well so we can offer our high level of relationship-oriented service to the residents and small to medium enterprises in these communities and help them towards their pursuit of success," added Chiong.
Cebu-Mandaue Cabancalan Branch offers both retail and business banking services. It is located along M.L. Quezon St., Cabancalan, Mandaue City and headed by Ruel G. Umbay.
"We are excited to be the right banking partner to the families and entrepreneurs in Mandaue City," said Umbay. "This branch expands China Bank’s presence in Cebu, improving convenience for the Bank’s existing clients as there are more China Bank branches to serve them, while providing us with the opportunity to attract new clients," added Umbay.
Two branches, SM City-Naga and Antique-San Jose, are slated for opening within the first quarter. This continued expansion is part of the Bank’s strategy to ensure a wider network for its full range of products and services.
