Ant International launches Programme Sirius for enhanced sustainability
The initiative is in line with the United Nations’ sustainable development goals.
Ant International, in partnership with Gprnt and the International Finance Corporation, has launched Programme Sirius to support micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in their transition towards sustainability.
The programme aims to support MSMEs operating on digital platforms by fostering an open dialogue that enables industry partners to exchange ideas on sustainability innovations and best practices.
The IFC, in partnership with Ant International, will develop a set of digital sustainability impact management toolkits in the next two years to improve MSMEs’ access to sustainable finance.
In addition, Gprnt, an initiative by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, will provide a technology-enabled reporting solution for MSMEs as part of the collaboration.
The technology aims to simplify sustainability disclosures against basic environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics.
The programme‘s launch was supported by 13 industry partners from 11 economies, including AlipayHK, ANEXT Bank, Bigpay, bKash, DANA, GCash, Hipay, Kakao Pay, MPay, TNG Digital, TossPay, TrueMoney, and Zalopay.
