Citi names new head of Global Subsidiaries Group for APAC

And the search for a new head of corporate banking for Australia and New Zealand is on.

Citi has appointed Stella Choe as the new head of Citi’s Global Subsidiaries Group (GSG) for the Asia Pacific.

Choe replaces Munir Nanji, who is now head of the Central Europe Cluster and Citi country officer (CCO) for Czech Republic.

She reports to Marc Merlino, global head of GSG based in New York, and Kaleem Rizvi, Asia Pacific head of corporate banking.

In assuming her new role, Choe will join the GSG Global Executive Committee and relocate to Singapore from Australia. Prior to being head of Citi GSG APAC, Choe was the head of corporate banking for Australia and New Zealand.

A search for Stella’s replacement as Head of Corporate Banking for Citi Australia and NZ is underway, according to Citi.

Choe first joined Citi in 2014 as head of the Financial Institutions Group, Corporate Banking, Australia and New Zealand. Before this, she spent six years at HSBC Hong Kong working in regional Acquisition Finance and Funds Coverage.

Choe also headed the EMEA Leveraged and Acquisition Finance Syndication Division at Morgan Stanley, structuring and distributing a variety of cross border M&A related financings, LBO’s, restructurings and emerging market transactions. She has also worked for J.P. Morgan.

What is Lorem Ipsum?
What is Lorem Ipsum? Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
