Citi boosts Asia ECM team with new hires
A couple of former JP Morgan bankers are joining the global bank’s ECM crew in Asia.
Citi Asia is bolstering its equity capital markets (ECM) team with new hires.
Beginning October, Alex Abramowitz will be joining Citi’s global private placement team with a focus on Tech ECM in the region. Abramowitz was a key Asia representative from JP Morgan Hong Kong’s private placement team.
Hwee Hwee Lim will also be joining Citi’s ranks in September as an associate of the Southeast Asia ECM team, with a focus on Singapore.
Earlier, Hong Kong-based Eddy Hui joined Citi as China ECM vice president and is now a key part of the bank’s China ECM team.
“We are running at record levels for ECM capital raising and these hires underline our commitment across the region to support our clients. As pipelines continue to build, we will continue to add talent to the strong bench we have,” said Udhay Furtado, Citi’s Asia co-head of ECM.
