Malaysia’s Public Bank enables Google Wallet payments for Visa card holders
They are amongst first to enable it in Malaysia.
Public Bank has enabled Google Wallet payments for its Visa credit and debit card members.
In a press release, Public Bank’s managing director and CEO Tan Sri Tay Ah Lek said that the rollout is part of the bank’s continuous effort to provide a seamless and secure banking experience for its customers.
“Consumers’ shift to digital payments have accelerated over the past few years and Public Bank is confident that by enabling our cards on Google Wallet, we will add further value to our card members,” Tan Sri Tay said.
Public Bank Visa Credit and Debit cardmembers can now pay by tapping their Android devices at any merchant that support contactless payment, eliminating the need to use the physical card.
