JCB reduces GHG emissions by 54.4% in 2022

JCB Co., a Japanese global payment brand, is intensifying its drive towards carbon neutrality to support the advancement of a sustainable society.
JCB successfully reduced GHG emissions by 54.4% in 2022, compared to 2013, reaching its initial target.
This accomplishment was made possible by implementing various energy-saving measures such as transitioning to CO2-free electricity, adopting LED lighting, upgrading air-conditioning systems, and adjusting operating hours.
JCB remains committed to further reducing GHG emissions and will continue its efforts in this direction.

In line with the global momentum towards carbon neutrality following the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, JCB is committed to reducing its global GHG emissions.
It aims to achieve this by transitioning to CO2-free electricity and implementing energy-saving measures across our global offices. Last year, JCB set targets that align with the emissions reduction pace outlined in the Glasgow Climate Pact.
JCB is actively engaged in environmentally friendly initiatives, including supporting mangrove plantations and contributing to the Malama Hawaii initiative, promoted by the Hawaii Tourism Authority.
