JCB enables Google Pay payments via contactless terminals

Customers can now add their credit/debit JCB card to Google Pay.

Japan-headquartered card payments network JCB has enabled Google Pay for its customers in Japan.

Android users are now able to pay using Google Pay in stores where JCB Contactless is accepted within Japan, according to a press release published in October 2024.

Customers can add their credit/debit cards issued by the JCB Group in Japan to Google Pay.

To use Google Pay, customers must download the Google Wallet app and add your JCB Card.

JCB said that it plans to extend this support to other JCB brand card issuers both in Japan and other markets.
