Australia's Airwallex sets foot in Canada, targets to expand in the Americas
Canadian businesses can create payouts to 150 countries.
Melbourne-based Airwallex has unveiled its global payments services in Canada, which will allow Canadian businesses to leverage its financial platform for faster, more affordable, and transparent payment processing.
Canadian businesses can now use Airwallex's primary features, such as local currency accounts in over 12 currencies, a multi-currency wallet supporting 44 currencies, and payouts to 150 countries via its proprietary local payment network.
Airwallex plans to gradually introduce its complete range of global products, such as multi-currency cards, spend management, and online payments, in the market.

Airwallex's growth in the Americas has been strong, with the customer base increasing by over 300% year on year. The company continues to expand globally, covering over 150 countries and facilitating US$50 billion in annual transactions.
Recently, Airwallex obtained a payment license in China, adding to their licenses in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, the European single market, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, and the US.
