37.6 million credit cards active in Taiwan in November: FSC
The number of cash cards remained the same as in October, however.
Taiwan has 57.96 million credit cards in circulation as of end-November 2023, with 37.64 million in total active cards, across 32 credit card issuers, data from the Financial Supervisory Commission showed.
This is higher than the 57.79 million in total cards, and 37.38 million in active cards recorded at the end-October 2023.
The balance of revolving credit was NT$104.4b, around the same as in October.
The amount of undue balance of installment, meanwhile, is an estimated NT$207.8b, lower than the NT212.5b in October.

Monthly write-offs in November was approximately NT$0.45b, whilst the average ratio of delinquency credit (pass-due over three months) against account receivables was 0.22%.
Cash cards remain the same
The number of cash cards in Taiwan remained the same, with 0.3 million cards across 13 financial institutions.
The total balance of cash card loans (including non-accrual amounts) was NT$10.9b, slightly lower than the NT$11b in October 2023.
The amount of monthly write-off was approximately NT$0.02b in November, and overall delinquency ratio was 1.247%.
