OCBC Bank plans to open seven new branches through Malaysia in 2012 to cater to its growing customer base.
CEO Jeffrey Chew Sun Teong said suitable locations are still being sought, particularly in the urban centre, reprots Bernama.
"This year, we would like to put another five Islamic banking branches to cater to the needs of individuals and businesses through the provision of Shariah-compliant products," he said during press conference to announce the commencement of operations of a new branch in Alam Damai, Cheras.
The bank has 31 conventional branches and five OCBC Al-Amin Islamic banking branches nationwide.
