Dah Sing Bank shuts down 10 branches amidst rising COVID-19 cases
Customers are urged to visit other open branches or use alternative channels.
Dah Sing Bank is temporarily closing 10 of its branches amidst rise of COVID-19 cases in Hong Kong.
“Dah Sing Bank, Limited (the “Bank”) today announces that in order to better protect the public health interest of our customers and staff and in line with the Government’s latest pandemic measures, the following 10 branches will be temporarily closed from 8 February 2022 until further notice,” the bank said in its announcement.
The bank also urged its customers to go to other nearby open branches for banking services or avail of alternative means such as its phone banking, e-banking and mobile banking services.
The 10 branches that Dah Sing Bank are closing are:
- Happy Valley Branch
- Heng Fa Chuen Branch
- Shek Tong Tsui Branch
- Mei Foo Sun Chuen Branch
- Kwun Tong Branch
- Tokwawan Branch
- Sheung Shui Branch
- Tai Wai Branch
- Tsuen Wan Branch
- Tuen Mun Branch
Meanwhile, the business hours of other bank branches will remain shortened, barring other branch-specific special arrangements.
Dah Sing Bank will also suspend its quote terminals at the Securities Centres of their branches until further notice.
“The bank will continue to closely monitor the public health situation and consider making adjustments as necessary,” Dah Sing Bank said.
Hong Kong COVID-19 cases were reported to be doubling every three days with the city announcing 607 locally transmitted cases on Monday.
