Alipay+ launches year-end sustainable travel campaign in Asia

Travelers will be rewarded for bringing their own toothbrushes, amongst others.

Alipay+ has launched a year-end campaign to promote sustainable cross-border travel, offering incentives alongside five e-wallets in Asia.

Travelers using Alipay, Alipay HK, Touch ‘n Go, GCash, and TrueMoney can enjoy a wide range of special offers from ComfortDelGro Taxi, Daimaru Matsuzakaya, Galaxy Macau, King Power, and Lotte Duty Free, amongst others.

The campaigns, which will last until 31 December, will be first launched for the destinations of Hong Kong, Macao, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.

In particular, the offers aim to promote sustainable travel behavior. Amongst offers include free overseas mobile data packages, in-app discounts across Alipay+ extensive merchant network, and opportunities to win 100% rebates at partner stores.

Travelers will also be rewarded for using more digital payments instead of cash, choosing public transportations over cars; travelling with their own toothbrushes instead of using disposable ones; as well as visiting more diverse local destinations to support communities’ economies and preserving local cultures.
